For many travelers, the first dramatic view of Korea appears before Seoul’s skyline. Incheon Bridge, or 인천대교, stretches across the sea between Yeongjong Island—home to Incheon International Airport—and Songdo International City.
Opened in October 2009, the entire expressway is approximately 21.4 kilometers long, while the bridge section measures 18.38 kilometers. Its most recognizable feature is the cable-stayed center, where two 230.5-meter towers support an 800-meter main span. The six-lane crossing shortened the trip between the airport and Songdo by more than 40 minutes.
The drive also became considerably cheaper recently. Since December 18, 2025, the standard passenger-car toll has been reduced from ₩5,500 to ₩2,000—a 63 percent drop. That makes one of Korea’s grandest airport approaches much easier on the wallet.
