The Gosok (Express) Bus Terminal in Seoul’s Gangnam district is one of Korea’s busiest intercity transport hubs, seamlessly connected to shopping and dining at Shinsegae Gangnam, a flagship department store opened in 2000.
On June 7, 2024, Shinsegae introduced the House of Shinsegae—an upscale food hall focused on premium brands, elegant design, and curated dining experiences. It contrasts with Famille Station, the earlier food court concept near Central City that opened in the mid-2010s, which focused on casual, varied quick dining.
While Famille Station serves everyday travelers with familiar comfort foods, House of Shinsegae elevates the experience with gourmet choices, refined seating, and a destination dining atmosphere integrated into the luxury retail context of Shinsegae.
House of Shinsegae features around a dozen premium restaurants and wine spaces, with chefs and cuisines that rival standalone eateries rather than typical food court fare. Signature restaurants include high-end sushi like Kim Susa, Korean classics such as Jaju Hansang, and modern grills and fine wine counters. The space is designed for social dining and business meetings, with counter tables and private seating that elevate the experience beyond quick meals.
