Opened in 2009, Jung-sik-dang in Sinsa-dong, Seoul comes in at #20 on San Pellegrino Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants (A50B) list. Over 900 people in the global restaurant sector contributed to the ranking. The #1 restaurant in Asia is located in Bangkok, Thailand and #2 in Tokyo, Japan. Things are heating up in Asia as China and Japan attempt to steal some of the sunshine that Korea is currently enjoying from the world. Governments are trying to brand their countries as fun and cool and going so far as to put limits on the import of Korean TV dramas to better compete.
